I confess it: on the Caucasus crisis I go with Georgia. I understand that the real fact is that Russia invaded Georgia’s territory. Putin’s forces, under the pretext of supporting the Russian people, entered into Georgian territory and occupied it. Even more, the Russians also took advantage of the situation and promoted Abkhazia’s resistance to fight again the Georgian Army. And also the Russian navy did some shot exercises with Georgian ships.

But… There are more events and facts on this crisis that the ones said on the newspapers and the radio and TV channels. Facts such as the US supporting the Georgian forces in Iraq to go to Georgia, by providing some transportation. And some other facts about the “pacific revolution” that brought him to the presidency of Georgia. Facts that should be known, and that give and idea about the Georgian president and the crisis itself.

At the end, my final though is to critizice Mr. Saakashvili. One should begin something, specially what was begun by Mr. Saakashvili, with a clear intention, and with a clear understanding of the situation and the consequences. This, Mr. Saakashvili, is taught, in Harvard, but also in the economic faculties, in USA and in Georgia. And seems to me that you drove the Georgian army to a complete disaster, without understanding the implications or the consequences of it. Your attempt seems to me the invasion of the Falklands: this was done without considering the implications, and sending the Argentinian army to a complete disaster. For me, this is a real exercise of political incompetence.

So, taking this into account, I would say that you must resign. Soon.
