The Spanish government must prosecute the fulfillment of the law

5 September 2008 No Comment

I am very accostumed to see the Spanish government, the socialist Spanish government, to look for another side when it comes to violation of the law. Very accostumed. I remember perfectly the case of Zapatero denying the dialog with ETA Basque terrorist (remember, BBC!) band, and also allowing the assassin De Juana Chaos to flew from the jail and walk around on San Sebastián with his girlfriend. Even more, there is a legend stating that there was a tale-bearing to the ETA environment when the police was to act against them. I would say more than a legend: Mr. Garzón, the famous judge, is investigating this from years…

Today, Mr. Aído, invoking a social need and a debate that is not on the Spanish society, and is, thus, created artificially by the socialist, to reform the law concerning the abortion: to open the abortion and legalize deeper the different situations in which the Spanish woman can abort. The debate is not on the Spanish society, and it is created by the socialist government as a smoke courtain to hide the economic crisis. Mrs. Aído, the Ministry of Equality (an invention of Mr. Zapatero), presented this new initiative, and called to a group of experts that will help the government or the Congress to reach to some conclusions. I am questioning what kind of experts will call Mrs. Aído and I, frankly, doubt a lot about her purposes and their impartiality.

Months ago, there was a police action against ilegal abortist clinics, and the reaction of the socialist government was to defend the doctors and managers of those clinics. If the government were a judge, this was prevarication. Since this is not a judge, this means that the government is not prosecuting the fulfillment of the law, or that is only committed to those laws the government likes. And this is a very serious situation, and there is no rule of law on Spain because it depends of the will of the government. And, in third world or underdeveloped countries this means that there is no juridical safety. Taking this into account, I am very surprised why Mr. Zapatero is asking himself about the lack of confidence of foreign investors in Spain…

So, Mrs. Aído, Mr. Zapatero… Less talking about new initiatives of the government, less talking about a group of experts (your experts) and more concern about the economic crisis. which is what worries to the Spanish, and more prosecution on the fulfillment of the current law. If somebody kills (and according to, for instance, the video of Intereconomía TV, this is a murder), this is against the current law and must be prosecuted.

The rule of law, Mr. Zapatero. The rule of law, Mrs. Aído. Do you know what is this?
