Javier Bardem, the Spanish performer or actor, did some declarations on the New York Times saying that the Spanish people are “una panda de estúpidos” (and I say this in Spanish for not being accused of confusion). Later on, on a press note, he rectified and said that he feels a “deep respect and gratefulness” for the big majority of the Spanish people, and that said that the declarations were misunderstood due to linguistic communication.

I do not have a big consideration of Javier Bardem. A person who has positioned clearly against the PP and did some “appearances” on the Prestige crisis, but was hidden on the Guadalajara fire crisis, a person who is actively using his career to attack the PP while, on the other hand, the PP was subsidying the Spanish film industry is someone who, for me, is not valuable to teach me lessons of any kind, not to say honesty, integrity and respect for the Spanish society (including those who vote sometimes conservative). I quitted going to see Spanish films time ago, and Mr. Bardem films are on my black list, whether they are Spanish, Australian or American (by the way, a country that the leftist as Bardem are hating but are crazy to go to, what an example of integrity and honesty!).

So the first declarations of Mr. Bardem were not a surprise for me, because I assume this is his real thought, his real way of thinking. The press note was the surprise. And this is why I say that Mr. Bardem must go to the court. Thera are two possibilities on this. If the New York Times is saying the truth, then… why Mr. Bardem has issued such press note? Maybe because he said something on an atmosphere of confidence, and he realized, when the news came to Spain, that this is against his halo of celebrity here, and needed to do something to be on the middle: not denying his declarations on the New York Times but not to denying the leftist side of his declarations.

If the New York Times has published something that Mr. Bardem has not said, Mr. Bardem must go to court. This is the best example to rectify. Go to the courts or ask the New York Times to rectify.
