Will you…?

9 January 2009 No Comment

Will you talk with a terrorist who is attacking your people? Will you talk shake hands with a terrorist who is killing your people, killing people from your neighborhood? Well… This is exactly why Mr. Ibarreche, the president of the Basque Autonomic Region and Mr. López, the leader of the PSOE in this region, are and will be in court. Whis is exactly why Mr. Ibarretxe has been today on the Basque Supreme Court.

He has been there supported and surrounded by his colleagues of the PNV, his own party. The party that “collects the nuts” that are falling when “ETA shakes the tree”, according to Mr. Arzalluz (former leader of the PNV). This people pledged to their supporters, to the PNV supporters, to “have Valium” to resist the ETA push and threats.

Mr. Ibarreche could have been happy this morning, surrounded and supported by theirs, and shaking hands with Mr. Otegui, a member of ETA. Mr. Ibarreche could think that this could give him and his party some electoral income, with these sad images… “Oh! Poor boy! In court because of his willing to talk! Only talk!” Mr. Ibarreche could be happy playing on both sides, talking with ETA and acting as a soft leader that looks for agreements, for common places shared by the assassins and their victims. But the real picture, the picture that says everything, the pictures that shows his real face, is the picture of Mr. Ibarreche shaking hands with a terrorist, Mr. Otegui, as seen in this article of El Mundo

Will you do that?
