Charlie Whiting must resign

27 June 2010 No Comment

Formula 1 is a circus. This sentence is right. And every circus has a clown. Charlie Whiting is the clown of Formula 1 (F1). There are several examples of this in the last years. Rules in the F1 exists, but it is up to Charlie Whiting to interpret them. And every time the rule is broken (in Spain we use the term violated) by a British, for instance Lewis Hamilton, the interpretation of Charlie Whiting is that the rule does not exists and should be interpreted. And the result of this interpretation is: “We will act from now on”.

Ha! Everything Mr. Hamilton violates rules, there is Charlie Whitening that makes this rule useless. Not existing. Is the safety car in the race and Mr. Hamilton passes it? No problem. We can decide 20 laps later, when Mr. Hamilton can do a drive through without consequences. This is happening and happening again.

Mr. Whiting is the clown of the F1. But is a clown that, instead of making us laugh, makes us cry. Mr. Whiting is British. Mr. Hamilton is British. What else can I do? Only one thing: for the wealth of the F1, for the image of the F1, for the survival of the F1, Mr. Whiting must resign. Now. Now. If he does not, he is going to keep violating rules, and people like me are going to hate the F1. From now on, I curse the clown, not the circus. But that can change.

There should not be a problem for him. I assume that, after this, he has a job in McLaren.
