Bueno, Juan Manuel, de alguna forma te has cobrado tu pieza, aunque …

Erdogan shows his real face

According to Libertad Digital Mr. Erdogan, Turkeys’ Prime Minister, leaves the Davos and returns to Turkey. This was after confronting Israel Prime Minister Mr. Shimon Peres, on a debate in which he defended the Hamas terrorists.
Turkey, from almost the very beginning, is one of the allies of the Western Countries, belonging to the NATO. But this was time before. Middle East Forum and its articles showed from time ago Erdogan efforts to shift Turkey to a secular country, abbandoning the laity of the Turkish state, designed by Ataturk on his …

The election of Mrs. Clinton as Secretary of State by Barack Obama, the next president of the United States, is coming to confirm something that already was crystal clear: Mr. Obama does not have the needed experience for his next position and needs to integrate on his team different, experienced and ambitious people.
Mrs. Clinton is a very ambitious person. Who drives her is nothing but the need of power, and it will not be a surprise to think that her acceptance to the post of Secretary of State can be …

The democrat convention of Denver has closed with the acceptation of Barack Obama of his candidacy to fight against Mr. McCain. This, together with the nomination of Mr. McCain shortly, will clear everything and traces a path to the elections on November 4th.
From my point of view, the point of view of a humble Spanish that is living in Spain but also lived on USA, the elections on USA are key to the near future of USA and Spain, and, why not to say, the world. And there are two …

After this Caucasus crisis, we realize that, at the end, the puppet is not dumb. Mr. Medvedev can talk! Miracle! Today, on the Spanish newspapers, we read some declarations of the Russian president: “After all that happened, it is unlikely that South Ossetia and Abkhazia can live on the same estate that the Georpogians”. “We develop our mandate of keeping the peace, and we will continue doing so. But if someone attack again to our citizens, then we will respond as we have done”.
Mr. Medvedev is more than a puppet …

I confess it: on the Caucasus crisis I go with Georgia. I understand that the real fact is that Russia invaded Georgia’s territory. Putin’s forces, under the pretext of supporting the Russian people, entered into Georgian territory and occupied it. Even more, the Russians also took advantage of the situation and promoted Abkhazia’s resistance to fight again the Georgian Army. And also the Russian navy did some shot exercises with Georgian ships.
But… There are more events and facts on this crisis that the ones said on the newspapers and the …

Looking to the conflict between Georgia and Russia, I would like to make some reflections, not only about the war. The first thing that comes to my mind is to verify that Russia, as all the leftists and dictatorial governments, keep dominating the propaganda. The images of Mr. Putin with the Ossetian people struck by the war are a clear example of this. Clear propaganda, very to Goebbels’ use.
The second reflection is about the role of NATO and the European Union. Taking into account that Georgie asked to join the …

The crisis between Georgia and South Ossetia should be only an internal affair in Georgia. But is not. And Russia had and has always to say in this affair.
Let me go back in time. Ossetia is divided into two regions (oblasts): North Ossetia and South Ossetia. The first belong to Russia; the second to Georgia. But ever since Georgian independence from the USSR, Ossetia declared its independence in order to join North Ossetia. Although the Georgian parliament did not accepted it, and Russia played a role supporting the North Ossetian …

Last week: visit of Mr. Chávez, president of Venezuela, to Spain. Meeting with Mr. Zapatero and the Spanish King Juan Carlos the First.
Incredible. After the famous answer of Juan Carlos I to Mr. Chávez (”¿Por qué no te callas?”), a real answer of anger and desperation to a person who is insulting a Spanish former president, and thus, Spain, Mr. Zapatero moved his threads and contacts to have, as soon as possible, a meeting with Mr. Chávez. Not only that; Mr. Zapatero has to involve the Spanish King in his …

Today is a good day, a very good day. The liberation of Ingrid Betancourt. This is a victory of president Uribe’s efforts in fighting the terrorism.
Mr. Uribe fighting against terrorism is the cornerstone of his government since the very beginning. He agreed with United States of America for collaborating in the fighting against terrorism, in several ways: by teaching or coaching the Colombian army on tactics, tools ans intelligence; by having more resources such as helicopters; etc. But this is not the only actions he took. He increased the police …
